Aaron Lennon was one of the stand-out players of Everton during the previous 2015-16 Premier League as the 29 year old performer helped his club in securing a spot in the middle section of the English League.
A new season has initiated and Aaron Lennon has voiced his excitement and optimism as he said: “I would definitely say this is feeling like home now. The lads, the staff and everyone at the Club have always been great with me, and of course the fans as well. They made it really easy to settle back up here’’
“I was really happy coming back up north. My family was buzzing to have me back here as well. When we saw that it was Spurs up first, I was having a laugh about it with my dad. Obviously I was there for so long so it was an interesting one to come up first.”
Everton’s first league match in this 2016-17 Premier League season was against Tottenham Hotspur which concluded in a 1-1 draw and even though Lennon had a fairly impressive last season, it seems like he is still struggling to snatch a spot in the first team of Everton as he entered the pitch at the 76th and had to settle with only a few minutes of playing time during this opening match of the season of Everton.
This is Ronald Koeman’s debut season as the manager of Everton and the Dutch tactician might still be testing the waters and undecided as to which players to put in his main team but Aaron Lennon does deserve the chance to get more time in the pitch.
