Burnley midfielder Aaron Lennon said that he is preparing himself mentally for the next season. He said that the last season has been quite tough for him as he has faced several injuries and that he wants to be ready ahead of the next season.
He said that since then he has suffered numerous set-backs and he is hoping that he will be having an injury-free season next time around.
Aaron Lennon said that he still feels fresh and strong and that he wants to help Burnley as long as he can. He is grateful for the club to have offered him a contract extension and he wants to show them that they have made the right decision.
He believes that there is a good project underway at Burnley and that the club can genuinely expect to push for a Europa League place next season. He believes that there is a good combination of young and experienced players and that this will be a great way to achieve something.
He said that they have a good manager in Sean Dyche and that he is sure that he will be bringing in a couple of new players to strengthen the team. He said that Dyche is an ambitious person and that he wants to bring Burnley at the next level.
Aaron Lennon admitted however that it will not be that easy as the other teams are spending massively and Burnley does not have a really big budget when it comes to signing new players.
